Privacy Policy

Overview

M&B Sales Pty Ltd, trading as M&B Trade Centre · Mitre 10 ("M&B", "we", "us"), is committed to handling personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what information this website collects, including through cookies, and how it's used.

Cookies we use

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not share cookie data with any third party. It sets two functional, first-party cookies, both used only to make features you interact with work:

CookieSet whenPurpose
mb_chat_sessionYou send a message in the chat widgetRemembers your conversation so the assistant has context, and keeps chat rate-limiting tied to your session rather than your IP address
Session cookie (admin only)You log in at /admin/loginKeeps staff signed in to the admin system; not set for ordinary site visitors

Because these cookies are necessary for the feature you've asked to use (chatting with us, or logging in as staff) rather than tracking or advertising, we rely on this notice plus your continued use of that feature as the basis for using them, consistent with OAIC guidance on cookies. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings — the chat widget and admin login simply won't retain context if you do.

Other information we collect

When you submit a form on this site — a trade credit application, a general enquiry, or a chat message — we collect what you provide (e.g. name, contact details, business details, and the content of your message) to respond to your request. This information is stored in our database and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under the APPs you can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. To do so, contact us using the details on our branches page or via the enquiry form. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or our obligations. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
